Buddhist Necklace Shopping

A few years back I was at a festival and bought a Buddha necklace that I ended up wearing all the time, to this very day. My friends from those days remain close to me today and we share our belief that wearing a Buddha helps us cope with stress and worry whether in our domestic or professional lives. My pendant was a lucky first buy because I wouldn’t want to change it at all. It’s silver and the the Buddha pose is known as Calling the Earth to Witness which means enlightenment. My best friend who suffers from Aspergers very badly went and bought one last year and she wears one that’s called the Medicine Buddha on her pendant necklace. She sees it as a blessing that she can touch whenever she’s stressed out.

Wear A Buddha Necklace To Stand Out

I recommend to anyone that if ever you want to make something significant of the jewellery you wear then you can’t go wrong with a Buddha necklace. There are lots of different styles and designs and they come with length chains. My choice was a silver one (I think it’s silver anyway, it isn’t hallmarked but the guy at the Festival said it was so hey ho!). They also come in pure gold and can cost an absolute future. In fact my friend did buy gold because she wants it to last and because it’s very precious to here.

Interestingly Thai Buddha necklaces are very often made from clay pressed into a mould which is then placed inside a plastic locket to protect them. These look very good actually and can be worn on an inexpensive cord. Also if you buy it on the street from a monk in Thailand you are fortunate just knowing that your artefact has been blessed. I think my Buddha necklace (you can check out a great store here: http://thai-tattoos.com/buddha-necklace-store/ )that I bought all those years ago must have been blessed because it got to visit all kinds of places like Thailand and other places in South East Asia and I’ve learned so much about Buddhism and I believe I’m a better person for it.
